The good stuff

It’s super lightweight and just works after you install it. The default keys - W, A, S, D for movement, spacebar and return for clicks - are intuitive if you’ve ever played a game with WASD. I did tweak them to use arrow keys instead since they felt more natural. The hotkey to toggle it on and off (I used Control + M) saved me from accidentally clicking things while typing. That alone made it worth having. Also liked how you can adjust cursor speed and turn on acceleration. I found myself moving faster across the screen when I needed to jump around a window, which is nice when you’re not trying to precisely click a tiny button.

The not-so-good

But let’s be real - it’s not a replacement for a real mouse. Precision? Nope. If you’re doing any kind of detailed design work or editing photos, this will drive you nuts. I tried using it to move a slider in Photoshop and ended up overshooting by like 20 pixels. Also, the lack of feedback makes it hard to know where the cursor actually is sometimes. You’re just guessing. And it doesn’t auto-hide or follow your focus like a real mouse does. You’re constantly checking. It’s also not very customizable beyond key bindings and speed. No way to map gestures or multi-step actions. Honestly, if you need something this basic, CheatSheet already does most of what this app does for free. So why pay for it? Especially since this version is just… there. Free, yes, but feels low effort.

If you’re stranded without a mouse and need to get something done quickly, No Mouse Mode for Mac - Download for Mac is a decent backup. But don’t expect it to replace your mouse. It’s not built for long-term use, and the experience is clunky if you care about accuracy. For casual users who occasionally lose their mouse, it’s fine. For anyone else? Skip it. There are better free options out there. Just download it for emergencies, not because you think it’s a real solution.
