Chat With Me on Zalo for WordPress

I’ve been trying to figure out how to actually get people to talk to me on my blog without resorting to email forms or clunky contact pages. The good stuff

The setup was genuinely painless. I went into my WordPress dashboard, searched for the plugin, installed it, and activated it. That was it. No config wizard, no API keys to paste. The default settings were fine for my needs - a small floating icon in the corner with a direct link to a Zalo chat. I tested it by clicking it myself, and it opened Zalo instantly on my phone. No redirects, no login prompts. Just straight to the conversation. It’s especially nice because Zalo is the go-to messaging app in Vietnam - using it feels natural for users there, unlike some random WhatsApp link that might confuse them.

The not-so-good

It’s definitely barebones. There’s no customization beyond size, position, and color. Can’t change the text or add a custom image. And if you’re not targeting Vietnam or Zalo-heavy audiences, this does nothing for you. Also, the developer isn’t listed anywhere obvious, and there’s no official support page. Not a dealbreaker, but kind of weird for a free tool. Plus, with only one user rating (9.8/10), it’s hard to know if it’s widely trusted or just someone gave it a high score and never used it again.

Bottom line

If you’re running a WordPress site focused on Vietnamese users and want a quick, free way to open a chat channel, this plugin is worth the 30 seconds it takes to install. It’s not for everyone - but if Zalo is part of your audience’s daily life, it’s a smart, low-effort way to connect. For others? Skip it. It’s niche, but it nails its niche. And yeah, it’s free - which means no risk to try.
