Bing URL Submissions Plugin for WordPress

The good stuff

It’s weirdly satisfying how simple it is. You go to the Bing Webmaster Tools, grab an API key, plug it in, and boom - every time you update a post or page, it sends the URL to Bing automatically. No clicking, no fiddling. I had a client with a blog that publishes twice a week, and now their posts show up in Bing within 12 hours instead of days. The manual submission option is nice too - sometimes I want to test a new page right away. And being able to see a list of recent submissions? That’s a small win, but useful when you’re tracking things like broken links or failed pushes.

The not-so-good

And here’s the catch - it doesn’t work on multisite setups. If you’re running a network of sites, this won’t help. Also, there’s no retry button for failed submissions, which kind of sucks if Bing’s API goes down and you miss a few URLs. It just logs the failure and moves on. Not ideal. Oh, and the developer info is blank. No website, no support link. That’s a little off-putting. But honestly, it works so well most of the time that I’m not sweating the missing details. Bottom line

If you’re running a single WordPress site and want your content indexed faster on Bing without fuss, this plugin is solid. It’s free, lightweight, and gets the job done. Just don’t expect bells and whistles. If you’re on multisite, skip it. Otherwise, install it, forget about it, and let it quietly do its thing. For basic Bing indexing, it’s worth the download.
