The good stuff

I was working on a user profile form and had the whole thing syncing in under 10 minutes. That kind of speed is nice when deadlines are tight.

Also, the TypeScript foundation means less runtime bugs. You catch errors before they break your app. I once spent two hours debugging a null reference in vanilla JS-didn’t happen once with Angular. Plus, the CLI tools make setting up new projects, running tests, and building for production feel like clicking through a wizard. It’s not flashy, but it works.

The not-so-good

Yeah, the learning curve is real. If you’ve only ever worked with jQuery or basic HTML/CSS, stepping into Angular feels like being handed a spaceship manual. The syntax takes time to get used to-decorators, modules, services, dependency injection-none of it’s intuitive at first. I remember staring at a simple “hello world” app for 45 minutes because I couldn’t figure out why my template wasn’t rendering.

And SEO? Not great. If you’re building a content-heavy site, Google might struggle to index it properly. I tried it on a blog project and had to add extra steps like server-side rendering just to get decent search results. Also, no easy migration path from older JS code. If you’ve got legacy scripts, you’re doing it by hand. That’s rough.

Bottom line

If you’re building a serious web app and don’t mind spending a week getting comfortable with the framework, Angular - Download for Windows is worth it. It’s free, it’s stable, and it scales well. But if you’re a solo dev, a beginner, or just want something quick and light, look elsewhere. React or Vue might be easier to jump into. But for structured, maintainable apps? Angular still holds up. Give it a try-you might end up swearing at it… then loving it.
