The good stuff

First off, the loading time is instant. I tested it with a 4K stream from my home server, and it kicked in faster than any other app I’ve tried. The interface is barebones but effective-no confusing menus, just channels and a favorites list. I saved my go-to sports channels, and now they’re one tap away. Also, the ability to hide channels you don’t care about is a small thing, but super useful when you’re sifting through 150+ options. And yeah, it handles 8K if your server supports it-though I’m not sure why anyone would bother with that on a phone screen. Still, nice to know it can handle it.

The not-so-good

It’s not exactly flashy. If you’re looking for fancy skins, auto-episode detection, or cloud backups, this isn’t the app. You have to manually enter your server URL and credentials every time. No import from m3u files or built-in discovery. And since the developer is unknown, there’s zero support if something goes wrong. Also, no channel descriptions or logos-just numbers and names. Might be fine if you’re already familiar with your playlist, but it’s not great for new users. Oh, and it’s not on the App Store, so you’ll need to sideload it. That might scare off some people, though it’s common for these types of tools.

Bottom line

If you’re tech-savvy, already have an IPTV server, and want a free, lightweight player for iPhone that just plays without drama, 000 Player for iPhone is solid. It’s not perfect, but it’s reliable. For what it does, it does it well. Skip it if you want features or support-but if you just want to watch live TV without extra fluff, give it a shot. Free and ad-free? Yeah, sign me up.
